US Tech Solutions Inc is hiring for the position of Substation Protection Controls to support a major energy utility project. This role involves the implementation and management of control systems within substation infrastructures. There are ten openings for this role, with work locations based onsite in both Florida and North Carolina.
Candidates will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that protection systems are functioning optimally to prevent outages and equipment damage. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to navigate complex electrical environments. Key Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience in substation protection systems.
Experience with control wiring, logic, and relay testing.
Availability to work onsite in Florida or North Carolina.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair control system components.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or technical certification in power systems.
Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE and ANSI.
Experience using protective relay software and testing equipment.
Understanding of utility operations and grid stability requirements.
Ability to document technical procedures and maintenance logs.
Strong teamwork skills for integration within large-scale utility projects.
