Upstairs Engineering Limited is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to contribute to our growing portfolio of construction projects. This role involves the design, comprehensive planning, and supervision of various construction endeavors. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed engineering drawings, comprehensive reports, and accurate cost estimates, which are vital for project success and budget management. You will conduct regular site inspections to ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and quality standards, maintaining the highest levels of project integrity. The position requires effective coordination with architects, contractors, and other essential stakeholders, alongside continuous monitoring of project progress and proactive resolution of any technical issues that may arise. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring all projects comply with legal regulations and environmental standards, and for meticulously preparing and maintaining all necessary project documentation.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience in civil engineering within construction.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for effective collaboration.
Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and structural principles.
Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and environmental standards in Tanzania.
Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Experience in conducting site inspections and ensuring quality control.
