PROCUREMENT INTERN @ UONGOZI INSTITUTE
The UONGOZI Institute, a regional leadership development hub under the Office of the President of Tanzania, is seeking a motivated Procurement Intern. This internship opportunity is designed to expose fresh graduates to professional public procurement procedures and practices within a dynamic environment. The intern will work under the Procurement Management Unit to gain hands-on experience in institutional operations and public sector governance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and management of procurement contracts in compliance with national laws and regulations. Additional duties include updating the stores ledger in the procurement system, managing records of goods receiving and issuance, and supporting periodic stocktaking, reconciliation, and auditing exercises. This role offers an excellent foundation for a career in supply chain management and public sector administration.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supplies or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swahili.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail for records management and data entry.
Excellent organizational skills for handling procurement documentation.
Ability to learn and adhere to public procurement laws and regulations.
Willingness to travel for specific assignments as required.
Strong analytical skills for supporting stocktaking and audits.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
