SENIOR DATA ENGINEER @ UNIVEDGE CONSULTING
This high-impact onsite position is designed for a Senior Data Engineer with over 12 years of professional experience. The role focuses on supporting enterprise-level retail and digital commerce operations by managing complex data pipelines and architectures. Successful candidates will work closely with digital sales funnels, customer journey analytics, and conversion optimization to provide actionable insights. The position is onsite and requires flexibility across multiple locations, specifically supporting operations in Naperville, Illinois; Chicago, Illinois; and Battle Creek, Michigan. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in end-to-end eCommerce sales operations, including Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Retail Execution. Technical proficiency in tools like SQL, Snowflake, DBT, and AWS is essential for success in this role. You will be responsible for integrating various systems such as OMS, CRM, ERP, and Inventory systems, while also managing API integrations and middleware workflows. Experience with retail datasets like Nielsen, IRI, and E2Open is highly valued for validating data and translating business KPIs into strategic initiatives. Ability to validate data accurately and communicate findings to stakeholders is a core component of this role.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 12 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
Deep expertise in end-to-end eCommerce sales operations including Digital Marketplaces and D2C.
Strong understanding of digital sales funnels and customer journey analytics.
Hands-on experience with SQL, Snowflake, DBT, and AWS cloud environments.
Proficiency in Power BI for developing actionable data insights and visualizations.
Experience with systems integration involving OMS, CRM, ERP, and Inventory systems.
Advanced knowledge of API integrations, EDI, and middleware workflows.
Familiarity with retail datasets such as Nielsen, IRI, and E2Open.
Advanced Excel skills and extensive experience in data validation.
Ability to translate complex business KPIs into actionable data architectures and insights.
