HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT (HSE) OFFICER @ UNITED PETROLEUM
The HSE Officer will promote a strong safety culture by implementing health, safety, and environmental programmes while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This individual will be responsible for conducting rigorous workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards in the petroleum environment.
Beyond auditing, the officer will investigate incidents, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and coordinate comprehensive HSE training programmes and emergency drills. The role is critical in maintaining accurate safety records and supporting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering
Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in the petroleum, oil & gas, or energy industry
Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA
Strong understanding of statutory safety regulations and legal compliance
Ability to conduct site audits and comprehensive risk assessments
Experience in incident investigation and reporting
Competence in coordinating safety training and emergency drills
Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills
Analytical mindset for continuous improvement of safety standards
Proactive approach to workplace safety and hazard mitigation
