The Relationship Manager at UBA is tasked with managing and expanding a portfolio of high-value clients, providing them with customized financial solutions that meet their specific business needs. This role involves proactive business development, identifying new prospects, and cross-selling the bank's wide range of products and services, including lending, deposits, and trade finance. The manager acts as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships that drive loyalty and contribute to the bank's overall growth. Through regular client engagement, the manager ensures that the bank's service delivery exceeds customer expectations.Furthermore, the Relationship Manager is responsible for monitoring the financial health and creditworthiness of clients within their portfolio. This includes conducting regular credit reviews and managing risks associated with the lending portfolio. The manager must stay informed about market trends and competitive activities to identify opportunities for market share expansion. Collaborating with internal support teams is crucial to ensure smooth transaction execution and prompt resolution of any client issues. The role is pivotal in achieving the bank's revenue targets and strengthening its presence in the Tanzanian market. The role is based at the Head Office in Dar es Salaam.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. Proven track record of at least 5 years in relationship management or sales within the banking sector. Deep knowledge of corporate and retail banking products and services. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Strong analytical skills for assessing client financial statements and credit risk. Ability to achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators. Excellent networking skills with a strong local business network. Fluency in both English and Swahili is preferred. High level of professionalism and customer-centric mindset. Master's degree or MBA would be an added advantage.
