INDUSTRIAL TECHNICIAN @ UNION BAY GROUP
Union Bay Group is seeking a dedicated Industrial Technician to join the Operations and Maintenance team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the continuous operation and peak efficiency of industrial machinery and production systems. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including the installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment, alongside performing critical preventive and corrective maintenance. By diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults quickly, you will play a vital role in minimizing production downtime and supporting the facility's overall productivity.
In addition to technical duties, the Industrial Technician must maintain meticulous records of maintenance activities and assist with the inventory management of spare parts. The role involves working closely with production teams during machine setup and requires a strong commitment to workplace safety regulations. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced factory environment, which may include shifts and emergency call-outs to address urgent equipment failures. Key Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or Mechatronics.
Proven experience working in industrial plants, factories, or manufacturing environments.
In-depth knowledge of industrial machines, motors, pumps, compressors, and conveyors.
Basic understanding of PLC systems and electrical troubleshooting procedures.
Proficiency in using a wide variety of maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, manuals, and electrical schematics.
Physical capability to lift equipment, climb, and stand for long periods in an industrial site.
