JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT @ UN LODGE EN AFRIQUE LTD
Un Lodge en Afrique Ltd is seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to support the finance and accounting department in Arusha, Burka Area. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Senior Accountant and assist with daily bookkeeping, account reconciliations, invoice processing, and audit support. The role involves managing daily accounting tasks and administrative duties while ensuring compliance with established rules and procedures. The position also requires periodic travel to Mdori for project support and coordination. Starting package: TZS 750,000 per month gross. The Junior Accountant will handle bank reconciliations, VAT reconciliations, and withholding tax reconciliations. They will also be responsible for review of accounts payable, following up on EFD invoices, and fiscalizing sales invoices through QuickBooks Online. This position requires candidates to be fluent in both English and Swahili, demonstrating strong teamwork and flexibility. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word, is essential for maintaining accurate financial documentation and reporting.
Key Requirements
Formal accounting training or a degree in Finance or Accounting.
Proven knowledge and experience using accounting systems, specifically QuickBooks Online.
Strong written and spoken communication skills in a professional environment.
Full fluency in English to handle documentation and international communication.
Full fluency in Swahili for effective local coordination and communication.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative finance team.
Flexibility and willingness to support various accounting and administrative tasks.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data management.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word for preparing reports and letters.
Strong analytical skills for performing reconciliations of bank and tax accounts.
