IT OFFICER @ UMODZI MICROFINANCE LIMITED
Umodzi Microfinance Limited is seeking a dedicated IT Officer to join our team at the Head Office in Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the implementation and maintenance of IT operations, projects, and programs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that IT services align with business needs and follow established project management principles and best management practices. Your primary focus will involve providing professional and timely technical support to both Head Office and Field staff.
In this role, you will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware components, including computers, desktops, phones, and peripherals. You will monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime, and manage user accounts and access permissions. Additionally, you will be tasked with implementing IT security policies to protect sensitive data and documenting procedures to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Previous experience of at least 2 years in an IT support role.
Preferable experience within the financial services or microfinance industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
In-depth understanding of IT security protocols and best practices.
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
Proficiency in productivity software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to provide technical support both in person and via remote access tools.
Competency in documenting IT procedures and maintaining system configurations.
