LEGAL OFFICER @ UBUNTUIMPACT
Ubuntuimpact is recruiting a dedicated Legal Officer to manage and oversee all legal matters related to our Microfinance Banking activities. You will serve as the primary legal advisor to the company, ensuring that all operations are conducted in strict accordance with the law. This involves drafting and reviewing contracts, managing litigation, and providing legal support during the recovery process of delinquent loans.
You will stay abreast of changes in banking and microfinance legislation to provide timely advice on compliance issues. By identifying and mitigating legal risks, you will help protect the assets and reputation of Ubuntuimpact. Key Requirements
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized and accredited university.
Must be a registered Advocate with a valid practicing certificate in Tanzania.
Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing law, preferably in a corporate or banking setting.
Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal agreements.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Tanzanian Microfinance Act and related regulations.
Experience in managing court cases and coordinating with external legal counsel.
Strong analytical and research skills to interpret complex legal statutes.
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Swahili.
Ability to work independently and provide sound legal opinions under pressure.
High level of professional integrity and commitment to ethical legal practice.
