UBA Tanzania is seeking a highly qualified Head of Treasury to lead the strategic direction and management of the bank's treasury operations. This senior leadership role involves driving client acquisition, managing relationships with public sector clients, and ensuring the growth of deposit liabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting market research and competitor analysis to position the bank effectively within the competitive financial landscape.
In addition to business development, the Head of Treasury will oversee product management and strategy, advising executive leadership on new opportunities for financial benefit. The role requires a strong focus on risk asset creation, client retention, and the alignment of institutional banking goals with broader organizational objectives. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of international developments in trade and financing to succeed in this dynamic environment.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with lower second and above in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Law, or similar disciplines.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in treasury, marketing, credit analysis, and relationship management.
At least 2 years of specialized experience in PSG, Institutional Banking, or EMDOS.
Deep knowledge of banking products, financial services, and local banking regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for financial modeling.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
Proven ability to be customer-focused and results-oriented with an innovative mindset.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to drive client acquisition and manage high-value public sector relationships.
