CREDIT ANALYST @ UBA GROUP
The Credit Analyst at UBA Group is responsible for the systematic review and appraisal of all credit requests to ensure they align with the bank's approved standards, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the bank's loan portfolio by conducting thorough risk assessments and ensuring that all credit disbursements are backed by solid financial analysis. The Credit Analyst will report directly to the Chief Credit Officer and provide vital support to business units in navigating complex credit-related matters.
Candidates will be expected to prepare detailed deal memos, evaluate product programs to optimize credit offerings, and ensure all processes strictly adhere to internal and external banking policies. This position is based at the UBA Group Head Office in Tanzania. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to managing credit processing times while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professional compliance in all statutory reporting and daily analytical tasks.

Key Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Relevant professional banking qualifications are compulsory.
Minimum of 2–5 years of professional experience in the banking sector.
Proven experience in credit analysis, lending, or risk assessment.
Strong proficiency in financial accounting and statement analysis.
Ability to interpret and apply regulatory laws and banking policies.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills for senior management.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under high-pressure deadlines.
Advanced data gathering and analytical capabilities.
Strong decision-making and coordination skills for cross-departmental support.
