TEAM LEAD, MINING & POWER @ UBA BANK TANZANIA
The Team Lead for Mining & Power will be responsible for driving corporate and commercial banking business within the mining and power sectors. This role focuses on strategic client acquisition, meticulous relationship management, ensuring credit quality, and driving overall portfolio growth and profitability for UBA Bank Tanzania. You will be expected to lead a team of relationship managers while ensuring all business targets are met in alignment with the bank's operational policies.
In this position, you will conduct regular customer site visits, analyze market trends, and develop integrated banking solutions tailored to the needs of the energy and mining sectors. The role requires a proactive leader who can monitor risk triggers, manage non-performing assets, and ensure full compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to review credit applications and provide high-level reporting to senior management.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or social sciences from a reputable university.
Minimum 5 years of relevant banking experience.
Proven experience or exposure in the Mining & Power sector.
Strong credit and relationship management skills.
Knowledge of banking operations, policies, and procedures.
Demonstrated leadership and team-development abilities.
Strong analytical, reasoning, and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in IT and computer systems used in banking.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
