CHINESE TRANSLATOR (3 POSITIONS) @ TWYFORD TILE
We are hiring for three Chinese Translator positions to support our manufacturing operations in Tanzania. These roles are distributed across our Glass Factory in Mkuranga (2 positions) and our Tiles Factory in Chalinze (1 position). The translators will act as a vital bridge between our Chinese-speaking management and the local workforce, ensuring clear and effective communication across all technical and administrative departments. This includes translating during meetings, on the production floor, and handling written correspondence.
Candidates must be highly proficient in Mandarin, English, and Swahili to facilitate seamless interaction. Key Requirements
Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese (HSK 5 or 6 certification preferred).
Professional proficiency in written and spoken English and Swahili.
Proven experience in simultaneous or consecutive interpretation in a business setting.
Ability to translate technical documents and manuals accurately from Chinese.
Strong interpersonal skills for facilitating communication between diverse staff groups.
Willingness to work and live in a manufacturing site environment.
High level of cultural sensitivity and professional ethics.
Ability to multi-task and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Flexibility to travel between different factory sites if required.
High school diploma or Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or a related field.
