CHEF DE PARTIE @ TSWALU KALAHARI RESERVE
Tswalu Kalahari Reserve is seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join their esteemed culinary team, which is renowned for its focus on conservation and luxury hospitality. This role is responsible for the daily operations of an assigned kitchen section, where you will ensure the highest world-class standards of food quality and presentation. Working under the guidance of the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating dining experiences that highlight South African creativity while adhering to strict sustainability practices. Candidates will be part of a purpose-led organization that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence in service. The role requires a high level of teamwork and the ability to maintain professional standards in food preparation and hygiene. In addition to a market related salary, the package includes single accommodation and staff flights between Johannesburg and Cape Town, providing a comprehensive support system for those working in this unique and beautiful remote location.
Key Requirements
Grade 12 qualification
2 – 3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment
Ability to handle food service for up to 6 guests independently
Valid Drivers Licence
Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation and advanced cooking techniques
Strict adherence to Kitchen Hygiene and Health and Safety (HACCP) standards
Basic computer literacy for administrative tasks
Strong guest interaction skills to enhance the dining experience
Knowledge of creating menus and meal planners for diverse guest needs
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Ability to work within a purpose-led organization focused on conservation
Willingness to live and work in a remote lodge location
