JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT – ACCOUNTS & FINANCE @ TRUE TALENTS AFRICA
True Talents Africa is seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to join their Accounts & Finance department in Kampala. This role is essential for managing daily accounting operations, ensuring timely financial reporting, and supporting compliance with both local laws and company policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP. You will also assist in budgeting, treasury management, and coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure a robust internal control environment.
The position requires a professional who is detail-oriented and possesses strong analytical skills to handle inventory and asset accounting, as well as treasury and cash flow monitoring. Working closely with the Head of Finance and the Board of Directors, the Junior Accountant will help drive financial efficiency and accuracy. Candidates should have a proven track record in the East African finance sector and be proficient in using modern accounting software like SAP, Tally, or QuickBooks to facilitate efficient reporting and data management.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
CPA or ACCA qualification (Partly or Fully Qualified) is an added advantage.
5–10 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
Experience working within the East African market is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as SAP, Tally, or QuickBooks.
Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local GAAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
Experience in managing taxation filings, including Withholding Tax, PAYE, and SDL.
Ability to maintain accurate books of accounts, including GL, AP, and AR.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with diverse teams.
Strong analytical skills for inventory and fixed asset register management.
