SITE ENGINEER (2 POSITIONS) @ TRANSPOWER
TRANSPOWER is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role specifically focuses on supervising various construction works, including detailed surveys, poles erection, stringing of conductors, substations, and household connections, ensuring strict adherence to drawings, specifications, bill of materials, safety regulations, and national/international standards.
The Site Engineer will also manage and supervise construction personnel, including subcontractors and laborers, and implement quality assurance procedures for review and inspection of installations throughout the project period. Key responsibilities include reviewing designs for system performance, ensuring material compliance, preparing project progress reports, conducting testing and commissioning, and reviewing As-Built Drawings and O&M manuals for handover. The position is a contract role based in Dar Es Salaam, with two positions available.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Three (3) years of experience as a Site/Construction Engineer in the Construction of Medium Voltage Distribution Lines and MV Substations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using construction software and tools.
Supervise all Construction works (Detailed Survey, Poles Erection, Stringing of Conductors, Substations, and Connection of House Holds).
Manage and supervise construction personnel, including subcontractors and labourers.
Follow Quality assurance Procedures for review and Inspection of installations.
Preparation of daily/weekly/monthly Project progress reports, Implementation schedules.
Conduct/Supervise testing and commissioning of various plants and systems.
