The Chef at Totara Hotel is responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet the expectations of our diverse clientele. This role involves creative menu development, strict adherence to food safety protocols, and ensuring the kitchen environment is organized and efficient.
Working closely with the kitchen team, the Chef will oversee meal preparation and ensure that service standards are consistently achieved. Passion for culinary arts and a deep understanding of food hygiene are necessary for success in this demanding but rewarding position.

Key Requirements
Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field.
Experience in hotel or restaurant kitchen operations.
Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
Deep understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity in menu planning and recipe development.
Effective teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to cooking times and temperature controls.
Ability to manage food costs and inventory.
