OPERATIONS MANAGER @ TORTILIS TANZANIA
Tortilis Tanzania is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions of our luxury safari camp portfolio located in Northern Tanzania. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of service, safety, and guest satisfaction that our brand is known for. The successful candidate will work closely with both the Head Office management and remote field staff to ensure operational excellence across all properties.
In this position, you will be responsible for the strategic and tactical management of camp activities, including the implementation of quality assurance protocols and the welfare of all team members. We are looking for a dedicated leader who can foster a positive work culture while managing the complexities of remote camp logistics. The candidate must be a Tanzanian national with a deep understanding of the local hospitality landscape and a commitment to excellence.

Key Requirements
5+ years of experience in safari lodge operations management
Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams in remote locations
Strong understanding of luxury hospitality service standards
Proficiency in coordinating between central office and field operations
Demonstrated experience in auditing Food & Beverage and Housekeeping protocols
Deep knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and HR support processes
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage procurement and inventory supply chains
Crisis management skills within a bush environment
Tanzanian National status
