CAMP MANAGER @ TORTILIS TANZANIA
Tortilis Tanzania is actively seeking an experienced and highly dedicated Camp Manager to take charge of the daily operations across its various camp locations within Tanzania's stunning national parks. This pivotal role involves ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience, while also leading and motivating camp teams to uphold world-class hospitality standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties including coordinating guest arrivals and departures, warmly welcoming and briefing guests to ensure a memorable stay, and rigorously supervising camp staff to maintain high service standards. Other key responsibilities include conducting thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and camp grounds to ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation. The role also requires ensuring strict compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures, coordinating essential maintenance activities and efficient asset management, managing staff schedules and movements, and preparing comprehensive weekly and monthly operational reports for the Head Office. Key Requirements
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.
Proven previous experience working within safari camps or lodges is highly preferred.
Possession of a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational capabilities with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
Fluency and excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
A guest-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Ability to supervise and motivate diverse camp staff effectively.
Proficiency in managing operational procedures and ensuring safety compliance.
Experience with reporting, asset management, and logistical coordination.
