Top Talented Recruits is currently seeking a dedicated Port Operator to join their team in Dar es Salaam. This role involves managing the daily operations within the port, ensuring that cargo handling procedures are followed efficiently and that vessel operations are synchronized with port workflows. The Port Operator will be instrumental in maintaining the logistics chain's integrity by overseeing terminal activities and utilizing advanced logistics platforms to monitor performance and safety. They must have a minimum of three years of experience in similar roles and be proficient in using Terminal Operating Systems. Strong interpersonal skills are required to facilitate communication between different departments and external partners. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or related discipline.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in port, terminal, or heavy logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of cargo handling procedures, vessel operations, and port workflows.
Experience with Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) or similar logistics platforms.
Understanding of customs processes and international shipping documentation.
Proficiency in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards within a port setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex terminal logistics.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multi-national vessel crews.
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by port schedules.
Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and specialized logistics software.
