MECHANICAL ENGINEER @ TOP TALENTED RECRUITS
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer for our manufacturing operations located in Kisemvule, Dar es Salaam. This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing plant machinery, specifically focusing on steel manufacturing processes such as cold rolling mills and tube mills. You will be tasked with troubleshooting industrial automation systems, managing power distribution, and ensuring that our electrical and mechanical components are running efficiently to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial automation and be capable of leading electrical maintenance practices within a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
2-5 years of experience in steel manufacturing (Cold Rolling Mill, furnace, tube mill operations).
Proficient in PLCs (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), drives, motors, and industrial automation systems.
Familiarity with power distribution systems and electrical maintenance practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
Commitment to workplace safety standards and protocols.
Willingness to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment.
Experience in preventative maintenance scheduling.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
