Top Crop Tanzania Limited is seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our agricultural operations in Rufiji. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution across our farm fields. This role is vital for maintaining crop health and supporting our overall production goals through efficient water management practices.
Technicians will spend the majority of their time working outdoors, requiring physical stamina and the ability to operate in various weather conditions. Key tasks include troubleshooting system failures, repairing PVC and HDPE pipes, and ensuring all valves and sprinklers are functioning correctly. We are looking for a reliable individual who can follow strict irrigation schedules and safety protocols while working effectively under the guidance of farm supervisors.

Key Requirements
Minimum Secondary school education.
Practical experience with agricultural irrigation or sprinkler systems.
Basic plumbing skills with PVC and HDPE pipe repairs.
Ability to detect and repair leaks, valves, and fittings.
Physically fit for outdoor field work under farm conditions.
Ability to follow irrigation schedules, safety rules, and supervisor instructions.
Knowledge of manual and automated water control systems.
Experience using specialized agricultural tools and diagnostic equipment.
Basic understanding of soil moisture requirements for different crop cycles.
Willingness to work flexible hours depending on seasonal irrigation needs.
