Top Crop Tanzania Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Accountant to join their team in Rufiji, Tanzania. This full-time position offers a challenging opportunity for a professional with a strong background in financial accounting to contribute significantly to the company's financial operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian tax regulations, and supporting key financial processes. The role demands high accuracy and attention to detail, especially in areas such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports using Excel. The Financial Accountant will also be responsible for handling accounts payable and receivable, as well as managing WHT and statutory returns. This position requires a collaborative individual capable of meeting strict deadlines and actively participating in audit support and month-end closing activities.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or ACCA registration counts as an advantage.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Proven experience with tax compliance, including WHT and statutory returns, under Tanzanian regulations.
High accuracy, strong attention to detail, and solid Excel skills for financial reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and support audits and month-end closing processes.
