Top Crop Tanzania Limited is looking for a dedicated Civil Structural Design & Costing Engineer to join our team in Rufiji, Tanzania. The role involves designing and analyzing various structures, including reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry, while ensuring full compliance with local building codes and safety regulations. You will be instrumental in the planning phase, providing technical expertise that ensures structural integrity and safety across all company projects.
Beyond technical design, the position requires a strong focus on project financial management. You will be responsible for creating precise Bills of Quantities, material take-offs, and comprehensive cost estimates. These documents are vital for the bidding process and for maintaining strict budget control throughout the project lifecycle. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in structural design and project costing.
Ability to design and analyze reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
Expert knowledge of applicable building codes and international safety standards.
Proven experience in preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BoQ).
Proficiency in performing material take-offs and detailed cost estimates.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and structural design software like ETABS or SAP2000.
Strong Excel skills specifically for costing, data analysis, and budget tracking.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex engineering tasks.
Capability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with project stakeholders.
