Remote Posted 3/31/2026 thetechgalore.com 1314 Views
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer specializing in Bare-Metal environments for a long-term remote contract position. This role is unique as it focuses exclusively on fully on-premise infrastructure, requiring a professional who can navigate complex systems without the aid of standard cloud providers. You will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of physical servers and virtualized environments, ensuring high availability and performance across the entire stack. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in low-level infrastructure engineering and the ability to manage enterprise-grade components in a non-cloud setting.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing Bare-metal Kubernetes clusters using kubeadm and supervising virtualization technologies like KVM, Proxmox, or VMware. You will also be tasked with deploying and optimizing messaging systems, identity management services, and storage solutions such as Ceph or NFS. Given the shift requirements in IST, you must be capable of working independently while collaborating with global teams to maintain internal data pipelines and monitoring stacks. This is a deep technical role that demands a robust background in Linux administration and networking fundamentals.

Key Requirements

Hands-on experience with Bare-metal Kubernetes (kubeadm) for orchestration. Proven experience in Virtualization technologies such as KVM, Proxmox, or VMware. Strong foundation in Linux administration and networking fundamentals. Experience deploying enterprise components on physical servers and virtual machines. Proficiency with SMTP server configuration and maintenance. Hands-on experience with messaging brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka. Knowledge of Identity and Access Management systems, specifically Keycloak. Experience managing various databases and data storage solutions. Deep knowledge of Storage systems including NFS and Ceph. Experience with setting up and managing self-hosted monitoring stacks. Ability to work effectively within internal data pipelines. Minimum of 6 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
