WEBSITE DEVELOPER OFFICER @ THE SCHOOL OF ST JUDE
The Website Developer Officer will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the digital presence of The School of St Jude. This position involves maintaining and optimizing websites and CMS platforms, specifically WordPress and WooCommerce, to ensure high performance, security, and a seamless user experience. You will be responsible for managing plugins, updates, APIs, and database integrations while focusing on improving SEO, landing pages, and conversion metrics. The role is based at the Sisia Campus in Moshono, Arusha.
In addition to technical maintenance, the officer will support digital marketing campaigns, automation workflows, and email systems. You will track website analytics and user engagement to produce detailed performance reports and recommend actionable improvements. Working in an international and supportive environment, you will collaborate with various departments to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure quality assurance across all digital platforms, contributing directly to the school's mission of poverty reduction through education.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
Strong skills in WordPress and CMS platforms like WooCommerce.
Proficiency in web technologies including JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
Experience with backend development using Node.js and PHP.
Ability to manage and integrate APIs and databases effectively.
Proven experience with SEO tools and Google Analytics for performance tracking.
Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and digital storytelling.
Experience in managing website security, plugins, and regular updates.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and conduct thorough quality assurance testing.
Strong communication skills for producing performance reports and collaborating with teams.
