ASSISTANT TEAM LEAD – COMMUNITY RELATIONS @ THE SCHOOL OF ST JUDE
The School of St Jude is seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Team Lead for Community Relations to join our Sisia Campus in Moshono, Arusha. The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and coordinate community relations operations, acting as a crucial link between the institution, its students, parents, local leaders, and various external stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in community outreach, fieldwork execution, and rigorous data management to ensure our mission of providing high-quality, free education to underprivileged students remains effective.
Key responsibilities include designing strategic annual and weekly calendars, managing scholarship application processes, conducting poverty assessments, and coordinating home visits to ensure student welfare. You will manage both physical and digital archives, maintain accurate student records within our iSAMs system, and prepare comprehensive reports to support institutional decision-making. This role also involves identifying operational gaps, recommending innovative process improvements, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies while collaborating closely with academic and visitor teams.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, PR, Communications, or related fields.
2–3+ years of professional experience in community engagement or stakeholder relations.
Proven experience in field operations and project coordination.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for diverse stakeholder interaction.
High proficiency in record-keeping, data management, and reporting.
Proactive problem-solving abilities and organizational skills.
High level of integrity, accountability, and respect for confidentiality.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-cultural educational environment.
Detail-oriented approach to monitoring and evaluation tasks.
Excellent proficiency in English and Kiswahili for effective community dialogue.
