FINANCE LEAD @ THE IA STAFFING AGENCY
A leading international trading group is seeking a Finance Lead to oversee tax, compliance, and financial control across African operations. The role is part of a climate solutions business unit focused on carbon-related trading and cross-border investments. This position involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while supporting the CFO for Africa on investment and restructuring decisions. Salary: USD 60,000 – 80,000 per annum.
This Finance Lead role includes regional oversight for Kenya, alongside operations in Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Mozambique. The successful candidate will ensure full tax compliance (corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax) and oversee statutory reporting and IFRS compliance. The position is essential for supporting regional investment decisions and maintaining robust internal controls across the group's African carbon trading activities.

Key Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CTA is preferred.
5–8 years of professional experience in a tax or finance role.
Experience working within a multinational or consulting environment.
Strong knowledge of African tax systems and international tax frameworks.
Proven experience in audits, transfer pricing, and cross-border compliance.
Experience in trading, commodities, or carbon markets is a distinct advantage.
High proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and advanced Excel.
Familiarity with Kenyan and international tax regulatory frameworks.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
