AGRICULTURE | NUTRITION COORDINATOR (1 POST) @ THE FOUNDATION FOR COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION IN KILIMANJARO (FTK)
The Foundation for Community Transformation in Kilimanjaro (FTK) is a community-focused organization based in Moshi, Tanzania, dedicated to improving livelihoods through practical and sustainable solutions, particularly in rural communities. We are seeking a committed Agriculture and Nutrition Coordinator to support and empower farmers in Lower Moshi. This role involves promoting modern farming techniques and sustainable practices that directly impact the food security and economic stability of smallholder farmers.
In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with the community to coordinate and implement specialized agriculture and nutrition programs. You will be responsible for monitoring field activities, developing demonstration farms, and collaborating with village leaders and agricultural officers to ensure the success of local initiatives. This position is ideal for an individual passionate about community development and hands-on agricultural support in the Kilimanjaro region.

Key Requirements
Diploma in Agriculture or Nutrition.
Proficiency in computer skills and basic software applications.
At least 2 years of professional experience working with smallholder farmers.
Deep knowledge of irrigation systems and crop production techniques in Tanzania.
Fluent in both Swahili and English for effective communication.
Strong communication and interpersonal teamwork skills.
Ability to develop and manage demonstration farms for training purposes.
Experience in monitoring field activities and providing practical solutions to farmers.
Ability to collaborate effectively with village leaders and government agricultural officers.
Proven capacity to prepare and submit regular progress reports.
Commitment to working in rural community environments.
