BIST is actively recruiting for the position of Tutor in Land Survey and Mapping, seeking highly skilled and motivated professionals to join our academic team. The successful candidates will be instrumental in educating students up to NTA Level 6, imparting critical knowledge and practical expertise in land surveying techniques, geomatics, and mapping technologies. This role requires a commitment to excellence in teaching and student development. Responsibilities encompass preparing comprehensive learning materials, leading engaging research activities, conducting interactive seminars, and guiding students through essential field surveys and case studies. Tutors will also be responsible for supervising student field practicals and projects, ensuring they gain hands-on experience and develop a deep understanding of the subject matter. A strong background in relevant surveying disciplines and practical experience are essential for this dynamic teaching role.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, GIS & Remote Sensing, Civil Engineering (Surveying), or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in land survey and mapping.
Ability to teach up to NTA Level 6 curriculum effectively.
Proficiency in preparing high-quality learning materials for surveying courses.
Experience in conducting research, seminars, and field surveys.
Skills in supervising field practicals and student projects related to surveying.
Knowledge of modern surveying equipment and software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
CBET training is an added advantage.
Excellent communication and instructional delivery skills.
