ADVOCACY AND COMMUNICATION OFFICER (1 POSITION) @ THAMINI UHAI
The Advocacy and Communication Officer based in Geita will lead Social and Behavior Change (SBC) and communication activities for the project. The officer is responsible for developing high-quality communication materials and digital content that enhance program visibility and stakeholder engagement. You will support policy advocacy efforts and ensure that all messaging is ethical, accurate, and audience-appropriate.
In addition to content creation, this role involves coordinating knowledge management and meeting donor reporting requirements. You will work closely with the Advocacy and Communications Manager to ensure the project’s achievements are well-documented and shared across relevant platforms. This role is essential for maintaining the organization's reputation and ensuring that communication strategies align with the broader goals of maternal and newborn health improvement.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or Public Health.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in communication or advocacy.
Experience with donor-funded health or development programs.
Ability to lead SBC and communication activities at the project level.
Expertise in developing high-quality communication materials and digital content.
Experience in policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
Proven skills in knowledge management and donor reporting.
Capability to ensure ethical and audience-appropriate messaging.
Proficiency in graphic design or multimedia production tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
