PROCUREMENT MANAGER @ TEMBO NICKEL CORPORATION
Tembo Nickel Corporation seeks a highly skilled Procurement Manager to oversee all procurement activities for its operations based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The role involves developing and executing strategic procurement plans that ensure cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and quality of goods and services required for the company's projects. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the entire procurement process to support operational efficiency and achieve business objectives. This position requires strong leadership skills to guide a team and collaborate cross-functionally to meet the dynamic demands of the mining sector.
Key Requirements
Extensive experience in procurement management, ideally within the mining or heavy industrial sector
Proven track record in strategic sourcing and vendor management
Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management
Ability to optimize supply chain processes and achieve cost savings
Leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a procurement team
Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
Strong understanding of ethical procurement practices and regulatory compliance
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
