IT INFORMATION SECURITY LEAD @ TANZANIA EAST AFRICA GATEWAY TERMINAL LIMITED (TEAGTL)
Tanzania East Africa Gateway Terminal Limited (TEAGTL) is seeking a highly skilled IT Information Security Lead to join their Information Technology Department in Dar es Salaam. This pivotal role serves as the primary technical authority for both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments. Responsibilities include overseeing the security of Terminal Operating Systems, gate automation, crane control systems, and ensuring the integrity of regulatory integration platforms essential for port logistics. The successful candidate will lead cybersecurity initiatives, manage SOC operations, and oversee incident response protocols to protect critical infrastructure. The role involves developing security governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001. By bridging the gap between technical security measures and business risk management, the IT Information Security Lead ensures that TEAGTL remains resilient against evolving cyber threats in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Requirements
6–10 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, IT risk, or compliance.
2–4 years of experience in a lead or senior specialist role within a security department.
Hands-on experience in SOC operations, incident response, and OT/ICS security.
Possession of CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification is mandatory.
ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification.
Experience in port operations, logistics, or industrial OT environments is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO standards.
Proven ability to manage and secure Terminal Operating Systems and automation platforms.
Experience in managing regulatory integration and ensuring technical compliance.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
