PROGRAM MANAGER @ TANZA EDUCATION
Tanza Education is seeking a dedicated Program Manager to lead the MsingiTek tablet-based program. This initiative provides supplementary learning for students in Standards 1, 2, and 3, utilizing Imagine Worldwide’s tablets and onebillion’s software to improve foundational literacy and numeracy. The successful candidate will work in either Ruvuma or Morogoro, with extensive field travel required within the allocated district to ensure program success.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing field operations, managing relationships with school and district stakeholders, and utilizing data to optimize program performance. You will provide leadership, troubleshoot technical issues with tablets, and foster a culture of excellence and sustainability. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field
5+ years of experience in program implementation, education, or community development
Proven experience managing or coordinating field-based teams
Ability to use data to monitor and improve performance
Experience working in rural or low-resource educational settings
Strong track record of collaboration with government stakeholders at school, ward, or district level
Proficiency in basic technical troubleshooting for hardware and software
Demonstrated ability to set targets and provide effective performance feedback
Strong cross-cultural communication and relationship-building skills
Commitment to organizational values including integrity, humility, and collaborative growth
