JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT @ TANJA CORPORATION LIMITED
TANJA Corporation Limited is a large-scale farming company engaged in coffee and horticultural crop production for export, as well as community development through Japanese investment. They are currently seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their team in Tanzania. This role is essential for maintaining financial records and ensuring tax compliance within their diverse agricultural operations including coffee, macadamia, and avocado production. The position is based in Oldeani within the Karatu District of the Arusha Region. Candidates will have the opportunity to grow within a sustainable farming environment that values global excellence and community development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, tax filing (VAT, CIT, Withholding Tax), and payroll management including statutory deductions like PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, WCF, and SDL. Additionally, the role involves managing cash disbursements, processing salary payments, and interpreting tax regulations to support the company's financial integrity. The recruitment process includes document screening, an online assignment, and an online interview. The position offers full-time employment with an initial six-month probation period and the potential for a long-term contract following the first two years.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 1-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance functions.
Good understanding of Tanzanian tax and statutory requirements.
Strong organizational and bookkeeping skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge of cloud-based accounting software and online storage systems.
Familiarity with Tanzanian labor laws and payroll statutory deductions.
Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili.
Ability to meet strict deadlines for tax filings and financial reporting.
Integrity and professional ethics in handling sensitive financial data.
