AREA FACILITATOR (1 POST) @ TANGANYIKA CHRISTIAN REFUGEE SERVICE (TCRS)
Tanganyika Christian Refugee Service (TCRS) is seeking a dedicated Area Facilitator to lead community-driven development initiatives in the Kishapu District. As a long-standing NGO established in 1964, TCRS focuses on humanitarian and community development programs that promote resilience and self-reliance for vulnerable populations. The Area Facilitator will be instrumental in working alongside local leaders to plan and monitor projects that directly impact village-level growth and stability.
The role involves facilitating the creation of Village Action Plans (VAP) and conducting comprehensive training sessions for village animators and community groups. In addition to supervising project implementation in the Kishapu District of the Shinyanga Region, the successful candidate will promote sustainable practices in WASH and climate adaptation. This position requires strong collaboration with local government authorities and stakeholders to ensure project visibility and success in line with donor expectations.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Livestock, or a related field of study.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in community development or humanitarian aid.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Fluency in both English and Kiswahili for reporting and community interaction.
Proficiency in computer literacy and standard office productivity software.
Motorcycle riding skills with a valid and current riding license.
Experience in facilitating Village Action Plans (VAP) and community-led planning.
Ability to work effectively in remote rural environments within the Kishapu District.
Strong analytical skills for monitoring project activities and collecting field data.
Proven ability to manage and support Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and VICOBA groups.
