Talent Grid Africa is seeking a dedicated and analytical Investments Officer to join a dynamic team in the social enterprise and investment sector in Tanzania. The successful candidate will play a critical role in investment sourcing, performing comprehensive due diligence, and managing credit risk assessments to support business growth and capital deployment. This position requires a professional who is comfortable with both high-level financial analysis and on-ground field work.
Key responsibilities include conducting rigorous credit checks, analyzing complex financial statements, and developing robust financial models. The Investments Officer will be responsible for continuous portfolio monitoring, tracking investment performance, and ensuring that all activities comply with established financial regulations and internal policies. You will work closely with portfolio businesses to unlock growth capital while maintaining high standards of reporting and risk management.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field
2+ years’ experience in investment management or portfolio analysis
Strong proficiency in credit analysis and risk assessment
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proven stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
Willingness and ability to travel for regular site visits
Strong understanding of financial compliance and reporting standards
Capability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or SICC is preferred
