Talent Grid Africa is recruiting on behalf of a leading healthcare client for a dedicated Biomedical Engineer with significant IT expertise. This position is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and represents a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of medical engineering and digital health technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all medical devices and health information systems operate at peak efficiency, safety, and reliability to support patient care and clinical operations.
Primary duties include the installation, maintenance, and calibration of various medical equipment, alongside the integration of healthcare IT systems such as EMR and EHR platforms. You will lead preventive maintenance efforts, provide technical troubleshooting, and manage cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive health data. This role requires a professional who can bridge the gap between clinical needs and technical infrastructure, maintaining high standards for system uptime and data integrity within the healthcare environment. Success in this role depends on strong analytical skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders from both medical and technical backgrounds.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
3–5 years’ experience in healthcare environments
Strong understanding of medical devices and healthcare IT systems
Knowledge of EMR/EHR platforms, networking, and cybersecurity principles
Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and calibration of medical equipment
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and complex technical troubleshooting
Experience in healthcare IT systems integration and technical support
Expertise in ensuring data integrity and system uptime within a clinical setting
Strong communication skills for collaboration with clinical and technical teams
