ASSISTANT LIVESTOCK OFFICER (1 POSITION) @ TAHEFA COMPANY LIMITED
TAHEFA Co. Limited is expanding its agricultural operations and is looking for a qualified Assistant Livestock Officer to manage our diverse livestock activities in Dodoma. The company manages a variety of livestock including pigs, goats, poultry, and cattle, alongside horticultural farming. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the health, productivity, and welfare of our animals while supporting the company's growth in the agribusiness sector.
The responsibilities include monitoring livestock health, managing daily feeding and nutrition, and overseeing biosecurity protocols for the farm environment. The officer will be tasked with maintaining detailed records of production, such as milk and egg yields, and managing breeding programs to enhance stock quality. Additionally, the role involves supervising the use of feeds, medicines, and farm equipment, and preparing livestock products for market.

Key Requirements
Certificate or Diploma in livestock, agriculture, or a related professional field.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the livestock sector is an added advantage.
Hardworking, accountable, and able to work practically.
Ability to work effectively in a farm environment.
Knowledge of monitoring livestock health and reporting abnormal symptoms.
Expertise in managing feeding schedules and ensuring clean water supply.
Competence in administering vaccinations, treatments, and disease prevention.
Skills in managing farm hygiene and biosecurity protocols.
Proficiency in keeping accurate production records (milk, eggs, births, deaths).
Ability to oversee breeding programs to improve livestock quality.
