TAHEA MWANZA is inviting applications for the position of Volunteer Assistant Finance Officer. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in financial management within a prominent development organization. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of financial reports, record transactions, and help maintain organizational accounting standards in accordance with procedures.
The volunteer will also be involved in budget monitoring and the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits. Working closely with programme teams, you will ensure financial compliance with donor requirements. This position requires a minimum commitment of 3 to 6 months and offers significant exposure to donor-funded programme finance, compliance systems, and professional audit processes.

Key Requirements
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) - mandatory requirement.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Demonstrated understanding of financial management systems within NGOs or development programmes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or equivalent).
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Prior experience in NGOs or donor-funded projects is an added advantage.
Ability to ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial records including vouchers and receipts.
Willingness to commit to a minimum period of 3-6 months for the volunteer role.
Strong analytical skills to monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
