The role focuses on leading backend engineering initiatives, specifically focusing on microservices and cloud-native solutions. Candidates will be expected to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications while working onsite from day one in Denver. In this position, you will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from initial design to Kubernetes-based deployment. Key tasks include building microservices with Spring Boot, integrating secure REST and SOAP APIs with JWT authentication, and managing containerized applications. You will also collaborate on cloud-native strategies and ensure all systems meet production-readiness standards. Strong proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and build tools like Maven or Gradle is required to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of enterprise-grade software.
Key Requirements
Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Java and J2EE development.
Extensive expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate frameworks.
Proven hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and design patterns.
Strong skills in developing REST (JAX-RS) and SOAP (JAX-WS) Web Services.
Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) and containerization technologies.
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
Proficiency with build tools including Maven, Gradle, and Nexus.
Strong database experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL database solutions.
Ability to design and manage applications within a cloud-native architecture.
Experience with secure authentication methods such as JSON Web Tokens (JWT).
