Synergy Expat Jobs is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager specialized in Substation Projects for an exciting opportunity in Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing complete Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) substation projects. This comprehensive role spans the entire project lifecycle, including initial design, strategic planning, execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and final project handover. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical expertise in substation design and execution, with a specific focus on managing complex projects across various voltage levels, including 33/11 kV, 66/11 kV, and 132 kV systems.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and verifying electrical engineering designs, conducting detailed technical evaluations of project requirements such as BOQs and SLDs, and supervising on-site activities including the installation of transformers, switchgears, and control systems. Additionally, the role involves heavy coordination with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, vendors, clients, and regulatory authorities. Candidates must be adept at identifying project risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain strict project timelines and comply with safety regulations.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Electrical).
Minimum 8-15 years of experience in handling and executing electrical substation EPC projects.
Strong technical expertise in substation design and execution for voltage levels 33/11 kV, 66/11 kV, and 132 kV.
Ability to review and prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Protection Schemes, and Load Calculations.
Proven experience in managing Earthing Systems, Cable Sizing, and Switchyard Layouts.
Sound knowledge of electrical equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, CT/PTS, relays, and protection systems.
Familiarity with international electrical standards and codes such as IEC/IS standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management software tools.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction teams for timely delivery.
Excellent leadership, project planning, and communication skills for stakeholder management.
