This South Africa-based role is a high-trust position requiring a professional who can take full ownership of the credit and financial proposition. You will be instrumental in building the lending frameworks that allow lenders to use real-world operational data for risk pricing.
Key responsibilities include engaging with DFIs and banks, shaping the investor narrative, and building the financial systems of the company from the ground up. Key Requirements
Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably as Head of Finance or CFO.
Extensive background in structuring lending models and credit frameworks within the fintech sector.
Demonstrated ability to engage and negotiate with banks and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs).
Strong experience in investor relations and crafting financial narratives for fundraising.
Deep understanding of B2B financial infrastructure and risk pricing based on operational data.
Prior experience in an early-stage startup or a founder-level environment.
Excellent strategic thinking skills with a focus on long-term financial stability and growth.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in complex financial modeling and reporting.
Ability to work independently and take high-level ownership of financial strategy.
Relevant academic qualifications in Finance, Economics, or a related field (e.g., CPA, CFA, or MBA).
