TRAINING COORDINATION OFFICER @ SWISSCONTACT
The Training Coordination Officer will serve as the primary liaison between the Swisscontact PropelA project and Don Bosco Technical Training College (DBTTC). This role is critical to the project's goal of economically empowering 900 Tanzanian youth by facilitating the implementation of high-quality, industry-oriented dual apprenticeship models in electrical installation and plumbing. The successful candidate will coordinate daily project activities, monitor progress against work plans, and support the integration of project interventions into institutional systems to ensure long-term sustainability.
Furthermore, the Officer will oversee training quality improvement, coordinate capacity-building activities for trainers, and ensure rigorous monitoring and reporting of project outputs. Based in Dodoma with occasional travel to other regions, the role requires a professional capable of managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with national TVET standards, and documenting best practices. The position is instrumental in promoting apprenticeships as a strategic human resource solution for the construction sector in Tanzania.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Education, TVET, Project Management, Social Sciences, or Development Studies.
At least 3 years of experience in project coordination or workforce development.
Proven experience working with training institutions, employers, and government stakeholders.
Strong proficiency in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites in Morogoro and other locations.
