MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER @ SWISSCONTACT
Swisscontact is seeking a dedicated Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to lead data-driven initiatives and research activities within their development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing M&E frameworks to track project progress, evaluate impact, and ensure the highest standards of data integrity. This role requires a blend of analytical expertise and project management skills to support the organization's mission of fostering sustainable economic growth.
In addition to technical data management, the officer will be responsible for producing comprehensive reports and communicating findings to various stakeholders. The position demands a proactive individual capable of conducting both quantitative and qualitative research in a dynamic environment. Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in monitoring and evaluation, statistics, economics, computer science, or data science.
Initial work experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
Demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within development project contexts.
Proficiency in using statistical software and data management tools for analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for professional reporting.
Ability to coordinate and provide contact information for three professional referees.
Capacity to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines, such as the 17:00 EAT submission cutoff.
Strong analytical skills with a high focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Familiarity with logical frameworks, indicators, and theory of change in project design.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data manipulation.
