PURCHASING SPECIALIST (1 POSITION) @ SUNDA
Sunda is looking for a dedicated Purchasing Specialist to join the TZ HPF Purchasing Department at the Tanzania Sanitary Products Factory located in Misugusugu. The primary purpose of this role is to manage procurement activities for factory operations, ensuring that all sourcing is conducted in a timely and cost-efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining supplier reliability and ensuring full compliance with the company's internal procurement procedures. Key duties include collecting and analyzing purchasing requirements, conducting price comparisons, and managing the full lifecycle of purchase orders. You will work closely with production, warehouse, and finance departments to enhance efficiency and coordinate delivery schedules. The role also involves developing long-term supplier relationships, optimizing the supplier base for quality and stability, and managing all procurement-related documentation and contracts. The position requires a candidate who can work independently under pressure and who is willing to be based at the factory site to oversee daily operations.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing.
Experience in manufacturing or FMCG industry is an added advantage.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Willingness to work at the factory location in Misugusugu.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
Knowledge of local and international logistics and supply chain regulations.
Strong skills in contract management and reconciliation workflows.
