Sumet is a fast-growing tech-enabled distribution company transforming product distribution, credit scoring, and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) solutions for retailers and wholesalers across Africa. We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and results-driven Credit Collection Officer to join our growing team in the FMCG sector. The role is vital to ensuring the financial health of the company by managing debt collection and ensuring timely payment recovery from clients across the region.
The successful candidate will maintain accurate accounts receivable and client credit records while providing excellent customer support and business consultation. In addition to collection duties, you will actively promote and market company products and services, ensuring daily collection submissions and reporting compliance. Key Requirements
Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Business-related studies.
Minimum 2 years' experience in credit operations within the FMCG sector.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Proven marketing and sales skills to promote company services.
High level of computer literacy and proficiency in office applications.
Smartphone proficiency for daily reporting and operational tasks.
Self-driven and highly disciplined work ethic.
Trustworthy character with a high degree of integrity.
Target-oriented mindset with a focus on results.
Familiarity with the Dar es Salaam environment and local market dynamics.
