LOCAL CONTENT COMPLIANCE MANAGER @ SOTTA MINING CORPORATION
Sotta Mining Corporation is looking for a dedicated Local Content Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to local content regulations within its Mwanza operations. This role is crucial for fostering economic growth within Tanzania by maximizing the participation of local businesses and individuals in the mining supply chain. The manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring local content strategies, ensuring compliance with government policies and industry best practices. This includes engaging with local suppliers, training providers, and communities, and preparing detailed reports on local content performance. The position requires a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and a commitment to sustainable development initiatives.
Key Requirements
Extensive experience in local content development and compliance, preferably in the mining sector
In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian local content regulations and policies
Proven ability to develop and implement local content strategies
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to engage with various stakeholders
Experience in monitoring, reporting, and auditing local content performance
Ability to build and maintain relationships with local businesses and communities
Strong analytical skills to assess local content impact and identify areas for improvement
Proficiency in relevant software for data analysis and reporting
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field
