ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (AP) SPECIALIST @ SOLOMON STOCKBROKERS LIMITED

As an Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing firm-wide expenses, regulatory fees, and vendor relationships to ensure the efficient execution of financial functions. The position is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and involves providing professional financial support to the organization through tracking, analyzing, and reconciling financial information to support sound business decisions. Your responsibilities will include accurate and timely payment processing of customer funds, exchange fees, and regulatory levies. You will also be responsible for monitoring payment schedules to safeguard liquidity, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and tax requirements, and maintaining impeccable records for audit readiness. This role requires a professional who can reconcile monthly statements from clearing houses and liquidity providers while demonstrating high level of integrity and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Key Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is an added advantage.
Prior experience in a financial services or brokerage environment is highly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills including mastery of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
Mastery of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.
Strong understanding of VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) implications.
High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
